Wallace acaba de entrar al matutino donde laboro como Periodista por un Año. Comparte oficina conmigo y otros compañeros de Ritmo Social, lugar donde fue posicionado para la pasantía.
Resulta que Wallace sabe inglés, y lo hemos tomado como 'medio' para practicar, sobre todo yo, que estoy que no veo por aprender y perfeccionar el idioma del "tio Sam". Quien lo diría, la que no quería saber ni en 'pintura' del inglés. Me parecía aburrido. Pero la música.... aahh! La música lo cambió todo. Yo, por entender las canciones de los "gringos" decidí aprender. Y aquí estoy, exprimiendo a Joan Wallace y a todo el que tira "palabritas".
A él le gustan mucho las canciones en inglés y me ha mostrado un par cristianas (porque también es cristiano) muy buenas. Y yo me sentía con el deber de mostrarle alguna. Le pregunté si conocía a Lenny Kravitz y me dijo: "claro". No mucho. Así que le mostré lo último de este... bello y gran artista: "It is time for a love revolution". Un disco que delata la madurez de un Kravitz polifácetico, que cada vez sorprende con un estilo diferente, no sólo en su "look" sino en sus composiciones; y en el que toca ¡casi todos los instrumentos! Por cierto, el escribió, produjo, compuso todo este CD. Es increíble, I admire him a lot! (uy, "pitinglish" jajaja).
Volviendo al tema, le mostré una de las canciones que más me gustan de su album "It is time for a love revolution" a Wallace: "I'll be waiting". Y le encantó. Tanto, que después la tarareaba sin darse cuenta. Es que Kravitz, repito, is amazing!
